All About Alexx

I am a creative problem solver. I focus on communications, primarily Art Direction for Advertising. My secondary specialties include Graphic Design, Illustration and Web Design.

I am fresh out of school, and bursting with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. At the moment, I am available for freelance and part-time contract work.

In my unending quest for new knowledge and personal development, I have completed six years of post secondary school, earning one degree and two certificates along the way.

Although I've finished with full-time structured education (at least for the moment!), I'm always interested in learning something new. What could be better for keeping your brain in shape?

I recently joined Toastmasters. I am almost finished my first manual, and hope to achieve my CTM designation by this spring. I have also taken up belly dancing, and knitting, and horticulture. This in no way relates to my chosen field, but I have found that any learning experience is a good learning experience.

10 Interesting (or at least random) Facts about Alexx

1. I own, and love, my pet corn snake. She's about five years old, and over four feet long. Her name is Spider since I bought her with the money I had saved for a tattoo of a spider.
2. My life goal is to be able to tend my garden when I'm eighty years old. My approach to this goal has been to spend one hour per day on physical development, and one hour per day on professional development.
3. My brown thumb has turned into a Green Thumb since I moved into a new home with wonderful windows. I have almost run out of space for my ever-growing herb garden. Does anybody want some spearmint?
4. My sister is an incredibly intelligent scientist. With her practical knowledge, and my overwhelming creativity, we will one day rule the world.
5. I am afraid of bananas. Eww.
6. In high school, I wrote serial stories. These developed a surprisingly strong following.
7. I am a Muay Thai fighter. Well... I'm in the intermediate class... I could probably still kick YOUR butt.
8. I prefer Canadian and British comedy to American comedy.
9. I'm a Metalhead, and a Girl. *gasp* Yes, I DO exist!
10. I look forward to the future. As much fun as my time on this world has been so far, I am convinced that it will only get better.
